Ansan water slide park to open Friday

Ansan Urban Corporation announced Thursday that it will operate the Ansan water slide park through Aug. 17.

The family-oriented water facility opens Friday and features a 100-meter waterslide, a 50-meter children's waterslide, a general water play area and an inflatable slide for toddlers. A snack bar, 100 free storage lockers, a nursing room, showers and changing rooms will also be available for visitors.

The facility will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

To ensure a safe environment, simultaneous entry will be capped at 1,000 people.

In addition, the city is expanding water play offerings at Hwarang Auto Camping Ground and Saengjon Nuri Swimming Pool to help residents beat the summer heat.

The water play area at Hwarang Auto Camping Ground includes a toddler pool measuring 8 meters by 10 meters. All campground visitors may use it daily from 2 to 6 p.m. through Aug. 23.

The water play area at Saengjon Nuri Swimming Pool features a wave pool 1.2 meters deep and a large pool. It will operate daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., except Mondays, from Saturday through Aug. 31.
