The Korea Meteorological Administration said heat wave warnings are in effect for five areas in Gangwon Province — the Gangneung flatlands, the Donghae flatlands and highlands, and the Samcheok flatlands and highlands.
The administration also lifted a heavy rain advisory for Cheorwon as of 6 a.m. Friday.
