Apple, which recently reclaimed the top spot in global market capitalization, reported sales of $109.42 billion (155.3 trillion won) for its fiscal third quarter (April–June) on Thursday (local time).
The figure represents a 16.4 percent increase from the third quarter of last year and surpassed the market consensus of $108.65 billion compiled by the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG).
Earnings per share came in at $2.02, also well above Wall Street's expectation of $1.89.
