Singer Lee Hi's 10-city world tour, organized by her agency 808 Hi Recordings, has been canceled just four days before it was set to begin.
808 Hi Recordings announced Tuesday on its official Instagram that the tour organizer had notified it Sunday of the cancellation of all scheduled performances and the start of refund procedures.
The agency said the cancellation was not caused by any fault on the part of the singer.
"We requested that the organizer fulfill its contractual obligations, including extending payment deadlines to allow the shows to proceed, but the organizer unilaterally canceled without completing payment or preparations," the agency said.
It apologized to fans who had been waiting for the tour and said it would pursue legal action over the matter. Ticket refunds will be processed through each ticketing outlet.
Lee Hi had been scheduled to kick off the tour in Singapore on Saturday, followed by stops in Jakarta, Manila, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Taiwan, Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Auckland.
808 Hi Recordings is a company Lee Hi founded earlier this year with her partner, rapper Dok2. The two have publicly confirmed they have been in a relationship for five years.
