Seven-Eleven announced Friday that it has partnered with Coupang Eats to launch delivery services across more than 1,500 stores nationwide.
The collaboration gives customers delivery access to a range of exclusive products, including global desserts, snacks and other food items, as well as lifestyle goods.
Seven-Eleven plans to expand its 24-hour delivery system with Coupang Eats nationwide before the end of the year, targeting late-night demand. Quick-commerce sales during the chain's late-night hours — 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. — rose 63 percent from Aug. 1 through Wednesday compared with the same period in January.
Seven-Eleven is also running a promotional campaign, offering free delivery on every order to all members, including those without a paid membership subscription, through Aug. 31.
"We expect the combination of Seven-Eleven's solid product lineup and Coupang Eats' powerful delivery infrastructure to generate the best possible quick-commerce synergy," said Ki Hyeon-gyeong, Seven-Eleven's head of marketing.
