Homeplus began a soft reopening of 67 stores on Friday after securing 200 billion won ($141 million) in debtor-in-possession financing. The official reopening is scheduled for Aug. 13. The period through Wednesday will serve as a preparation phase to stabilize the supply chain, build out product assortments, and identify and address any issues arising during operations. A Homeplus store in Suwon, Gyeonggi Province, was open for business as part of the soft launch on Friday.
