Actor Hyeon Bong-sik has revealed a surprising piece of his past — he learned nail art in high school.
The detail comes to light in an episode of SBS variety show My Little Old Boy airing Sunday, which follows actors Bae Jeong-nam and Hyeon on a trip to Busan filled with unexpected charm.
The two visit popular spots in their hometown of Busan that they had long wanted to check out.
Upon arriving at one destination — a dessert cafe with a cute, whimsical atmosphere — Bae could not hide his bewilderment. "Why would two guys come to a place like this?" he said. "This is so embarrassing."
The studio erupted in laughter as Hyeon's unexpected side was revealed: despite his intense screen presence, he is completely serious about dessert.
Hyeon then led Bae to their next stop — a nail salon.
There, Hyeon said he had learned nail art in high school, displaying knowledge that even impressed the salon staff. Bae, meanwhile, was visibly awkward receiving nail care for the first time, but gradually warmed up to the experience, drawing more laughs.
The pair wrapped up their Busan trip at a local restaurant Hyeon confidently recommended. When the food arrived, its unexpected appearance left MC Shin Dong-yeop speechless. "I've never seen anything like this," he said, while fellow MC Seo Jang-hoon could not take his eyes off the dish.
