Guro-gu, led by District Mayor Jang In-hong, held a capacity-building training session for integrated care practitioners Thursday at the district office's Creative Hall, in collaboration with the Guro-gu Public Health Center and the Guro branch of the National Health Insurance Service.
The joint session was the second of its kind this year, following an earlier session in March, and drew more than 60 participants — including integrated care practitioners from dong community centers and staff from related departments. The training focused on deepening understanding of the integrated care system and each agency's role, while strengthening the field readiness and inter-agency coordination of staff who took on new responsibilities following second-half personnel rotations.
During the session, the district office explained the integrated care system and its administrative procedures, while the public health center introduced its role in health, medical and wellness services along with key collaborative programs. The National Health Insurance Service outlined its responsibilities within the integrated care framework, walked participants through how to complete preliminary assessment forms, and presented its main linked programs. A question-and-answer segment followed, allowing participants to review practical issues that arise in day-to-day operations.
The district plans to continue strengthening cooperation among related agencies — including dong community centers, the public health center and the National Health Insurance Service — and to sustain practitioner training so that integrated care can be delivered smoothly in the field.
"Integrated care works on the ground only when multiple agencies understand their respective roles and are closely connected," a district official said. "We will keep raising the competency of frontline workers and deepening inter-agency cooperation so that residents receive the care services they need in a timely manner."
