Blackpink will reunite as a full group at the National Museum of Korea in Seoul on their 10th debut anniversary.
YG Entertainment said Friday that all four members will attend a fan meet-and-greet at the National Museum of Korea on Saturday — their 10th debut anniversary — and meet 40 fans selected through a prior lottery.
Despite busy individual schedules, the four members coordinated their calendars to mark the group's milestone together.
The venue ties closely to Blackpink's recent activities. The group previously collaborated with the national museum's merchandise brand MU:DS on the "Blackpink Heritage Collection," and around the February release of their "DEADLINE" album they carried out a "National Museum of Korea x Blackpink" project exploring the intersection of K-pop and traditional Korean culture.
The event marks the group's first full domestic schedule in roughly one year and one month, since their "DEADLINE" world tour concert in Goyang last July.
Blackpink debuted on Aug. 8, 2016, and over the past decade dominated global charts with every release. Their second studio album "BORN PINK" in 2022 simultaneously topped the US Billboard 200 and the UK Official Albums Chart, cementing the group as a landmark act in K-pop girl group history.
However, some fans have expressed disappointment that the 10th anniversary celebration is limited to just 40 attendees and that notice came only at the last minute.
YG Entertainment said the restrictions were "a measure taken after comprehensively considering safety and venue conditions," adding that "detailed information regarding the event will be communicated individually to attendees."
