Teen son kills mother during argument, then turns himself in

A teenage boy stabbed and killed his mother during an argument at their home in Incheon.

The Incheon Samsan Police Station arrested the suspect, identified only as A, 18, on charges of matricide, according to Yonhap.

A allegedly stabbed his mother, a woman in her 40s identified as B, multiple times with a weapon found inside their apartment in Samsan-dong, Bupyeong-gu, during an argument Friday afternoon.

A turned himself in after the attack. B was transported to a hospital but died of her injuries.

A had dropped out of high school and was unemployed. His father and younger sibling, who live in the same apartment, were not home at the time.

Police are investigating the exact motive behind the killing.
