Seoul's Dobong-gu district office is mobilizing its full administrative capacity to strengthen execution of key campaign pledges from the ninth directly elected term and deliver early results.
The district held a "9th Directly Elected Term Campaign Pledge Progress Review" on Friday at Ssial Hall in the district office, chaired by District Mayor Kim Dong-wook.
The session brought together 21 departments to report action plans for 67 campaign pledge projects and conduct an intensive review of each project's feasibility and direction.
The district has set five policy goals to guide the ninth term: the Changdong economic engine; future transport and residential innovation; public site development and urban regeneration; smart inclusive welfare; and resident sovereignty and innovative administration. Detailed action plans have been drawn up under each goal.
To fulfill its promises to residents, the district plans to examine the feasibility of each project from multiple angles and build a systematic, achievable roadmap.
The district will finalize its pledge action plans this month and operate a resident-led "Pledge Implementation Evaluation Panel" in September.
Reflecting feedback and assessments gathered from the panel, the district plans to confirm the final ninth-term pledge action plan in October and publish it on the district website.
"We will bring about a great transformation in Dobong through active fulfillment of our campaign pledges and the pursuit of key projects," Kim said. "We will do our utmost to regularly monitor the progress of pledge implementation and keep our promises to residents without fail."
