'A day with Pereira' package fetches W86m at Neymar charity auction

An experience package offering a day each with Brazilian UFC stars Alex Pereira and Charles Oliveira sold for 310,000 reais — about 86 million won ($60,600) — at auction.

An anonymous bidder paid the sum Monday at Brazilian football legend Neymar Jr.'s annual charity auction, MMA Fighting and other outlets reported.

The package begins with the winner spending a day at former UFC champion Oliveira's home in Guarujá, Brazil — sharing lunch and joining a training session for a rare chance to spend time up close with one of the greatest fighters in Brazilian MMA history.

Pereira, known by his nickname "Poatan," will then spend a day with the winner in the United States, including a session of his hobby, archery. The package also includes a pair of boxing gloves signed by heavyweight legends Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield.

The auction was organized by football superstar Neymar Jr., with proceeds going to his charitable foundation, Instituto Projeto Neymar Jr., which supports around 3,000 children and young people in the Praia Grande area of Brazil.

The foundation did not disclose the total amount raised at this year's event. Last year's auction brought in about 7.1 billion won, and it too featured an experience with Oliveira among the items on offer.

Meanwhile, Oliveira most recently defeated Max Holloway at UFC 326 to claim the BMF title. Pereira fought Ciryl Gane in a heavyweight interim title bout at the UFC White House event in June but lost.
