Yuhan-Kimberly launches renewed Kleenex My Bidet with enhanced flushability

Yuhan-Kimberly is rolling out a renewed version of its Kleenex My Bidet flushable wipes with improved disintegration and ease of use. The updated product passed the International Water Services Flushability Group (IWSFG) flushability test in addition to the existing standard set by the Association of the Nonwoven Fabrics Industry and EDANA (INDA·EDANA), with the company focusing on strengthening fabric performance for toilet disposal.

Yuhan-Kimberly said Tuesday it will begin releasing the renewed lineup this month, starting with Kleenex My Bidet Pure and Kleenex My Bidet Kids.

In the IWSFG disintegration test, the renewed product achieved a 100% breakdown rate relative to the fabric's initial dry mass — well above the 80% passing threshold. According to the company, the IWSFG test applies stricter conditions than the existing INDA·EDANA method, including weaker water flow and a test duration roughly half as long.

INDA·EDANA also operates flushability guidelines that evaluate whether disposable nonwoven products can pass through toilets and drain pipes and disintegrate in water. The existing My Bidet lineup has cleared assessments under those international guidelines.

Yuhan-Kimberly previously renewed the My Bidet fabric in 2022 and 2024 to improve disintegration and flushability. Kleenex My Bidet Pure, launched last year, uses a specially processed fabric that weakens in water — unlike ordinary wet wipes — allowing it to be flushed. At the time, the company recommended using one to two sheets per flush.

The renewed product uses a 100% plant-based fabric containing natural pulp. It is made with plastic-free material that has passed microplastic non-detection testing and carries FSC certification, indicating the raw materials were sourced from responsibly managed forests.

"The renewed products have passed two international flushability tests and offer improved convenience," a Yuhan-Kimberly official said. "We will continue innovating in this category to contribute to the advancement of hygiene culture."
