Singer Soyu reveals new home bought with profits from Samsung Electronics, SK hynix shares

Singer Soyu, who has invested in Samsung Electronics and SK hynix shares, has revealed the new home she purchased using profits from those holdings.

On Monday, Soyu posted a video titled "First look at Soyu's home after moving for the first time in six years (+ furniture, interior, construction)" on her YouTube channel "Soyugi."

In the video, Soyu introduced her sauna room — the space closest to the front door — saying her home is divided into "spaces for others and spaces for myself."

"My satisfaction is extremely high. The scent of hinoki cypress fills the whole room," she said. "After working out, when I want a more dramatic effect, my routine is to do a sauna session followed by a cold-water rub-down. These days I also use the sauna a lot on mornings when I'm puffy but too lazy to exercise."

She then showed off her home gym. "I thought a lot about this room too. I laid down gym-grade exercise mats because of the noise, and I have a lot of small equipment," she said. "People have been calling me 'all bones' lately, but I'm not all bones — I have quite a bit of muscle."

Soyu also gave a tour of the living room, kitchen and bedroom. "Knowing it's my own home puts my mind at ease. If I get tired of it, I can always change things up," she said. "I feel like I'm finally living out the dreams I couldn't in my old place. I moved into a great home, so I hope nothing but good things fill my life from here on."

Soyu had previously said she bought the home by combining her savings with profits from Samsung Electronics and SK hynix shares she had invested in a decade ago. "Ten years ago, as a way to learn about investing, I put about 100 million won ($70,400) into Samsung Electronics and SK hynix," she said at the time. "Thanks to those returns, I was able to move into a new home."
