Inha University will hold an information session for parents and college-bound students on major selection and career planning ahead of the 2027 academic year early admissions application period.
The university will host the fourth session of its "2026 Inha Parent Academy" on Aug. 22 at the international conference hall of the Jeongseok Academic Information Center on campus.
The event is designed to give parents navigating their children's university and major choices a more detailed look at the college admissions system and career paths available in each department.
This session will feature lectures by faculty from the semiconductor and biotech departments, who will explain the characteristics of each field, the latest industry trends, and career and employment outlooks.
The university will also introduce its education initiatives and talent development direction in advanced industries.
Sectors including semiconductors, biotech, secondary batteries and robotics are drawing growing attention as future growth industries and rank among the most sought-after areas for students choosing a university major.
Inha University has been strengthening specialized education in these fields, and the program is structured to help parents gain a comprehensive understanding not only of industry outlooks but also of university curricula and how they connect to future careers.
The Inha Parent Academy is part of a school district cooperation program under the Ministry of Education's "2026 High School Education Contributing University Support Project."
The university's admissions office has been running the program once a month since May to support students and parents in preparing for university entrance.
Four sessions are planned during the early admissions period from May through August, with one additional session in December ahead of the regular admissions round, bringing the total to five sessions this year.
Each session covers guidance on the 2027 admissions process, career and university entrance seminars, and explanations of the student record-based comprehensive admissions system.
