Volkswagen Korea launches 'EV Life Care' event for ID.4 and ID.5 owners

Volkswagen Korea announced Wednesday it will run an "EV Life Care" event through Sept. 30 to help electric vehicle customers manage their vehicles more affordably.

The event targets ID.4 and ID.5 owners and features two products: a pair of EV-exclusive service packages covering key consumables, and an EV-exclusive warranty extension program.

The two service packages — "ID Perfect Care" and "ID Smart Care" — both offer up to 20% discounts on essential maintenance items including cabin air filters, front and rear wiper blades, washer fluid and brake oil.

"ID Perfect Care" also includes a dedicated EV inspection for more thorough vehicle checks. Both packages are valid for five years from the date of purchase, reducing the long-term maintenance burden for customers.

The EV-exclusive warranty extension program is a premium maintenance service that extends coverage for an additional two years — or up to 150,000 kilometers, whichever comes first — after the standard three-year manufacturer's warranty expires. The program covers general components as well as key powertrain parts including the EV drive system.

Customers who purchase either service package during the event period will receive a California Collection beach towel. Those who sign up for the warranty extension program will receive an ID.4- or ID.5-specific genuine trunk mat.

The ID.4, Volkswagen's best-selling all-electric SUV, offers a combined range of 424 kilometers on a single charge and an energy efficiency rating of 4.9 kilometers per kilowatt-hour. The ID.5, a coupe-style all-electric SUV, pairs a sleek coupe design with proven performance and delivers a combined range of 451 kilometers per charge.

The ID.4 and ID.5 have secured government subsidies of 4.32 million won ($3,050) and 4.73 million won, respectively — among the highest available for imported passenger electric vehicles in 2026. The EV Life Care event further strengthens the total cost of ownership benefits for both models.

Meanwhile, Volkswagen Korea has been expanding its customer touchpoints through a range of marketing activities, including a recent recruitment drive for the "2026 Volkswagen Tennis Crew," an experiential program combining tennis with vehicle test drives.

The Volkswagen Tennis Crew program is an influencer-style initiative in which participants who share their tennis lifestyle on personal social media accounts test-drive key Volkswagen models and produce related content over roughly three months.
