VIPS to offer unlimited abalone butter grill through Aug. 31

VIPS, the casual dining chain operated by CJ Foodville, announced Thursday it will run a limited-season promotion offering unlimited servings of abalone butter grill made with whole abalone from Wando.

The promotion runs from Friday — the last of the three traditional "dog days" of summer — through Aug. 31, and is available on weekdays during lunch and dinner only. The dish features whole Wando abalone grilled in butter and finished with herb crumble and a hint of garlic.

"We prepared this promotion hoping customers can recharge their energy with Wando abalone during what has been an exceptionally hot summer," a CJ Foodville official said. "As supplies are limited by the nature of the ingredient, the promotion may end early once stock runs out — so we encourage everyone to come enjoy a hearty, healthy summer meal."
