A new line of "smart sofas" designed to support rest and leisure in the living room is drawing attention.
The sofas feature a high-output Bluetooth speaker that connects to a television, along with USB ports for streaming movies and OTT content. A wireless charging pad is also built in. Recliner, sliding and swing functions allow the sofa to serve as an armchair or a makeshift bed depending on the situation.
Home interior company Enex is targeting the living room with its new "vegan leather sofa," which packages these features into a differentiated product.
The new products are distinguished by their vegan-leather fabric enhanced with functional properties. The material is a synthetic leather coated with eco-friendly silicone and constructed with an ultra-high-density chamber structure that prevents liquids and foreign substances from seeping inside. The company says coffee, beverages, sauces and similar spills can be wiped away with a damp towel or wet wipe.
The fabric has passed a 100,000-cycle abrasion test conducted by an accredited institution, verifying its durability. Enex said the surface shows virtually no cracking or damage even in high-friction environments, and holds up well against scratches from pets' claws or toy friction.
Beyond simple comfort, the lineup is divided into three models so consumers can choose according to their lifestyle and the layout of their space.
The Cinema Recliner Vegan Leather Bluetooth Speaker Sofa is designed for home-cinema and OTT viewing. It is a recliner sofa operated by a wireless remote control. Measuring 280 centimeters wide, it features a deep, ergonomically designed seat and a multi-cushioning headrest that flexibly supports the neck and shoulders.
The sofa integrates a wireless smartphone charging pad, USB ports for connecting various smart devices, and a high-fidelity Bluetooth speaker. Users can watch films, listen to music and charge devices all from the sofa without installing separate audio equipment or cables, Enex said.
The Barny Vegan Leather Slide Modular Motion Sofa is a modular design that achieves a sliding function without wheels, allowing smooth movement without floor damage or noise. A remote control lets users adjust the depth and arrangement of the seats.
Built around an 85-centimeter-wide seat, the model maximizes space versatility — it can be configured as a standard sofa, a chaise lounge for stretching out, a cafe-style arrangement with a table in the middle, or a fully extended makeshift bed, the company added.
The Rosé Gray Vegan Leather Modular Swing Sofa allows fine-tuned adjustment to suit each user's body type and posture. It features a "Cobra Moving Headrest" with micro-adjustable angle and height settings to support the head and neck, along with a swing-style backrest and armrests that move freely back and forth.
"Premium hardware technology — including motion, swing and sliding mechanisms — has been integrated into a hygienic, easy-to-maintain vegan leather fabric," Enex said.
