The Golfzon Cultural Foundation, chaired by Kim Young-chan, delivered meal kit packages worth 10 million won ($7,070) to 250 vulnerable households in Yeongcheon, North Gyeongsang Province, on Friday as part of its "Golfzon Neighbor Love Happy Sharing" campaign.
The foundation organized the donation to help at-risk residents stay healthy through the ongoing heat wave. Each kit included ready-to-eat rice, banchan (side dishes), ramyun, and pre-made soups and stews to support stable nutrition among low-income households.
Officials from the foundation and Yeongcheon City Hall attended a donation ceremony at the city hall. The donated goods will be distributed to vulnerable residents in the area through the city's welfare policy division.
The foundation has run the "Golfzon Neighbor Love Happy Sharing" campaign since 2021 as part of its commitment to community co-prosperity. This year, it plans to provide daily necessities worth 180 million won to around 4,300 households.
"The Golfzon Cultural Foundation continues its giving with the belief that we grow together with our communities," Kim said. "We will keep reaching out to neighbors in need across the region, guided by our management philosophy of sharing and consideration."
