The National Pension Service is launching a public recruitment drive for 30 fund management experts to strengthen the expertise and performance of its fund operations.
The service said Friday that it will accept applications for its "2026 Second Open Recruitment of Asset Management Experts" from Friday through 6 p.m. on Aug. 28 — a 15-day window.
The recruitment covers a range of fund management fields, including investment strategy, shares, bonds, alternative investments, risk management, cash management and fund information systems. A total of 30 positions are available — three senior fund managers and 27 associate fund managers.
The selection process consists of a document screening, career verification and interviews before final candidates are chosen. Those selected are expected to be appointed in November. The entire hiring process will be conducted on a blind basis, with applicants' names, educational backgrounds, ages, genders and family details withheld.
Applications must be submitted online through the National Pension Service's website. Submissions by mail, in person or by email will not be accepted.
In addition, applicants may not apply for more than one recruitment category, and the service reserves the right not to fill positions if no suitable candidates are found.
Meanwhile, the National Pension Service is also in the process of selecting a chief investment officer to oversee its fund management division and manage its large-scale portfolio.
