As the PBA Team League's second round heads into its latter half, Huons still hold first place, with Crown Haitai mounting a fierce chase.
On Monday at the Hwaseong General Sports Town indoor gymnasium in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi Province, Huons defeated Hi One Resort 4-2 in sets on Day 6 of the Welcome Savings Bank PBA Team League Hwaseong Special City Tour 2026-2027.
Huons, unbeaten in the round, held sole first place in Round 2 with six wins and 15 points. Their winning streak also stretched to seven, counting the final match of Round 1.
After taking the first two sets, Huons conceded the third and fourth to level the match. Ngo Dinh Nai (Vietnam) then delivered a dominant 11-3 win over Le Phan S in the fifth set in six innings. Kim Se-yeon sealed the match in the sixth, edging Kang Ji-eun 9-7 in 10 innings to close out a 4-2 set victory.
Crown Haitai are pressing hard on the leaders. They swept Breakers 4-0 to extend their winning streak to three, moving to second place with five wins and one loss and 13 points. David Martinez (Spain) and Baek Min-ju each contributed two wins to power the run.
Hana Card rallied from 0-3 down in sets to beat Welcome Savings Bank 4-3, securing their second win of the round against four losses. The victory made Hana Card the fifth team in PBA Team League history to reach 100 regular-season wins, joining Welcome Savings Bank, SK Rent-a-Car, Crown Haitai and NH Nonghyup Card.
NH Nonghyup Card defeated Woori Financial Capital 4-1 to win back-to-back matches, while SY also extended their winning streak to two with a 4-2 set victory over Harim.
