Daewoo Engineering sends snack trucks to construction sites in season 4 of morale program

Daewoo Engineering & Construction announced Tuesday that it had completed season 4 of "Daewoo's Ppudeut Truck," a program that sends snack trucks to domestic construction sites, with five sites selected to receive the treat.

First introduced in 2024, "Daewoo's Ppudeut Truck" is a corporate culture event that picks videos capturing warm and joyful moments at construction sites and rewards the winning teams with a snack truck visit. This year the program again supported five sites, with the goal of lifting the spirits of employees and on-site workers.

For season 4, participants submitted videos of up to 60 seconds showcasing real examples or ideas for improving communication, work practices and the work environment, as well as efforts to revitalize small group activities and foster a more positive site culture. Five domestic sites were selected: the Jinhae New Port reclamation seawall section 2, Blanc Summit 74, Yongin Prugio One Cluster complexes 2 and 3, Eco Delta City Prugio Trepark, and Grand Le Pied.

Employees at each site captured content such as strengthened communication and safety management practices and compliance with heat illness prevention guidelines. They also demonstrated strong team cohesion through after-work small group activities, showing organizational unity beyond regular working hours.

"We designed this event to encourage the hard work of employees and workers at our sites and to spread a positive organizational culture," a company official said. "We will continue to run a variety of morale-boosting programs that allow employees at domestic and overseas sites to communicate and come together."

In season 3 of the Ppudeut Truck program in 2025, Daewoo Engineering & Construction selected stories from employees working at overseas sites and delivered gifts to their families back home in Korea. Earlier this month, the company held its "2026 Daewoo Engineering & Construction Young Dreamers Invitation," an event in which employees' children visited their parents' workplaces and experienced the construction industry firsthand.
