Actor Yoon Chae-kyung, a former member of the K-pop group April, has opened up about being betrayed by the person she trusted most in the world.
On Monday, Yoon held an "ask me anything" session on her Instagram Stories, fielding questions from followers.
When one user asked how she had been doing lately, Yoon replied, "I was properly stabbed in the back and betrayed by the person I trusted most in the world, and I still can't get over it."
She added, "I can't believe someone like that exists in this world, but I have to accept it."
Yoon went on to describe the person, writing, "Every single word out of their mouth is a lie, and I'm just stunned by the character of someone who won't even say sorry."
She then wrote, "One day it will all come back to them," before closing with, "Let's be happier — us."
Yoon did not identify who she was referring to.
Born in 1996, Yoon made her debut in 2012 as a member of the group Purity. She appeared on a program in 2014 to select new members for the group Kara, and in 2016 she took part in Mnet's "Produce 101," going on to promote with the project group I.B.I. After that project wrapped up, she joined April — which shared an agency with Kara — for a fresh debut, releasing tracks including "Story of a Spring Country" and "Pretty Is a Sin." Since April disbanded in 2022, she has been working as an actor.
