Super Junior's Choi Siwon stops tourist from smoking inside Gyeongbokgung

Super Junior member and actor Choi Siwon stopped a foreign tourist from smoking inside Gyeongbokgung Palace.

A video titled "Rainy Palace Tour, Gyeongbokgung (feat. Teacher Yang In-eok)" was recently posted to Choi's YouTube channel. In it, Choi tours the palace alongside Yang In-eok, a volunteer guide and palace docent at Gyeongbokgung.

The two were near the front of the palace discussing the stone guardian figures when a foreign visitor was spotted about to light a cigarette.

Choi did not hesitate. Noticing the man preparing to smoke in a crowded area of the palace grounds, he walked straight over.

Choi addressed the tourist with a simple "Excuse me, please," making clear he wanted the smoking to stop.

The tourist understood immediately, lowering the cigarette, and Choi wrapped up the exchange with a "Thank you."

Choi then resumed his tour of the palace, reflecting on the significance of Korea's history and cultural heritage.
