Lee Tae-hoon leads LIV Golf Indianapolis by one stroke

Lee Tae-hoon (Canada) has taken a one-stroke lead at LIV Golf Indianapolis, the season finale of the LIV Golf League, which carries a purse of $10.1 million.

In the second round Friday at The Club at Chatham Hills (par 70) in Westfield, Indiana, Lee carded six birdies and two bogeys for a 4-under-par 66, moving to 11-under 129 for the tournament and going one ahead of Laurie Canter (England), Thomas Detry (Belgium) and Dustin Johnson (United States).

After a bogey-free, seven-birdie opening round Friday, Lee made four more birdies through the eighth hole to stay in contention. Back-to-back bogeys on Nos. 9 and 10 briefly disrupted his momentum, but he recovered with consecutive birdies on Nos. 13 and 14 and parred his way home to preserve the one-stroke lead.

Lee earned his LIV Golf spot as a wildcard after winning the LIV Golf Promotion event ahead of the 2026 season. He finished runner-up at LIV Golf Singapore in March, reaching a playoff before missing a short par putt that handed the title to Bryson DeChambeau (United States). Lee currently sits 19th in the individual standings.

Joaquin Niemann (Chile), who won LIV Golf New York last week, carded a 3-under round to reach 9-under 131, joining Cameron Smith (Australia), Abraham Ancer (Mexico), Thomas Pieters (Belgium) and Lee Westwood (England) in a tie for fifth.

Song Young-han of Crushers GC posted back-to-back 3-under rounds to reach 6-under 134, tying for 20th alongside Jon Rahm (Spain) and Tyrrell Hatton (England). Team captain Ahn Byeong-hun managed just one birdie to sit at 5-under 135, tied for 28th.

Kim Min-gyu shot a 3-under 67 with four birdies and one bogey to move to 4-under 136, tied for 32nd. Moon Do-yeob carded a 2-under round to reach 2-under 138, joining Anthony Kim (United States) and Danny Lee (New Zealand) in a tie for 39th.
