Singer Bibi speaks out on performance philosophy amid Waterbomb controversy

Singer Bibi, who drew controversy over the suggestive nature of her recent Waterbomb performance, has shared her philosophy on performing.

In a teaser clip for the SBS variety program "Museot-ideun Haejul Jini - Biseonjin," a celebrity assistant show released Friday on SBS's official YouTube channel, Bibi said she has a clear performance philosophy. "It's to make sure the people who paid to get in have a great time, no matter what," she said.

She added that she had prepared for the show for three months, treating it as if it were her last.

In response, cast member Lee Seo-jin said, "She's truly incredible — the goddess of Waterbomb," while Kim Gwang-gyu added, "She's a real pro. Bibi is the real deal."

Both Lee and Kim, who watched the performance from the venue, praised Bibi's stage presence and professionalism.

The controversy stems from Bibi's performance at "Waterbomb Seoul 2026," held at Kintex on July 25, where some critics said the show went too far in its explicit content.

The program premieres Friday at 11:10 p.m.
