350 furniture firms from 15 countries to gather at Kofurn 2026, opening Thursday

Kofurn 2026, an international furniture and interior industry fair drawing 350 companies from home and abroad, opens Thursday at Kintex in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province.

The Korea Federation of Furniture Industry Cooperatives announced Friday that the 2026 Korea International Furniture and Interior Industry Exhibition — known as Kofurn — will run Aug. 27 through Aug. 30 at Halls 7 and 8 of Kintex's second exhibition center.

Now in its 37th edition, Kofurn is an international furniture trade fair aimed at expanding market access and fostering business exchange among domestic and overseas furniture companies. This year, 350 firms from 15 countries will participate across 1,350 booths.

Exhibits will span the full breadth of the furniture industry, covering home living and office furniture alongside home decor, interior design, raw and subsidiary materials, and woodworking machinery. A business-to-business consultation program will also connect domestic and international buyers with participating companies.

South Korean participants include Emons Furniture, Tempur, Amos Einz and Kkumkkuneun Yosep. Participating brands plan to unveil new products during the fair and hold product discount events.

Overseas participation has also expanded. Beyond the existing contingents from China and Indonesia, companies from Vietnam and India will join this year. The China pavilion will feature furniture raw and subsidiary materials as well as finished products, while the Indonesia pavilion will showcase furniture and interior accessories made from natural materials such as solid wood and rattan.

The Korea International Woodworking Machinery Exhibition will be held concurrently. The combined event is designed to let visitors explore the full furniture manufacturing process in one place — from finished products to raw and subsidiary materials and production equipment.

A furniture and living design competition and an industry-academia group exhibition will also take place, as part of efforts to discover talent in the furniture industry and promote design and technology exchange.

Pre-registered visitors may enter free of charge, while walk-in admission is 10,000 won ($7). Customers who purchase products during the fair will be entered into a draw for 10 don of gold bars, and the first 450 visitors each day will receive a folding shopping cart.
