Cortis marks debut anniversary with expanded edition of 'GREENGREEN'

Big Hit Music idol group Cortis will release an expanded edition of their second mini album at midnight Monday to mark the first anniversary of their debut.

Big Hit Music announced Sunday that Cortis will drop "GREENGREEN_playextended," an extended version of their second mini album "GREENGREEN."

The expanded release adds two new tracks — "PACK IT UP" and "MONEYMONEYMONEY" — with all five members credited as co-writers and co-composers on both songs. The group gave the new material its live debut Saturday at Hwajung Gymnasium at Korea University in Seoul. Cortis will perform in Seoul once more before taking their tour to Yokohama, Japan, next month.

Big Hit Music said the two tracks were handpicked from songs left off "GREENGREEN" as the ones that best capture "the Cortis of right now." "The extended album is a continuation of the second mini album, which laid out the team's sharper tastes and ambitions," the agency said. "It deals more densely with the team's honesty and unfiltered experiences."

Cortis is a five-member boy group consisting of Martin, James, Juhun, Seonghyeon and Geonho. They debuted Aug. 18 last year with the mini album "COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES" and have since earned nominations in two categories at the MTV Video Music Awards — best new artist and best K-pop — one of the four major American pop music awards shows.
