Hyundai Motor announced Tuesday it has launched the 2027 Palisade, becoming the first domestic automaker to offer a high-roof model based on an SUV.
The 2027 Palisade significantly expands its lineup with the addition of the high-roof variant, a premium special trim called Black Ink and an outdoor-oriented XRT trim, while making key safety and convenience features standard across trims.
The newly added high-roof model raises the roofline by 240 mm, creating a more spacious and premium cabin. It stands 2,005 mm tall, allowing entry into underground parking facilities while delivering both a sense of space and practicality.
The high-roof model comes with exterior design elements exclusive to the variant — including the high-roof profile and black DLO molding — along with standard features: preview electronic control suspension, 21-inch alloy wheels and Pirelli tires.
Inside, premium family-oriented features come standard: a high-roof ambient mood lamp, a starry sky headliner, a two-way pop-up LED reading light and a 21.4-inch high-roof rear smart entertainment system.
Hyundai Motor also introduced a new "VIP Package 2," which bundles a second-row double-door multi-console — featuring dual wireless smartphone charging, UV-C sterilization, an air purifier and a cooling-and-heating cup holder — with premium VIP-exclusive floor mats.
Hyundai Motor is also introducing the Black Ink trim with the 2027 Palisade — a premium special trim built on the Calligraphy grade with a distinctive design identity.
The Black Ink trim comes standard with 21-inch black alloy wheels, Pirelli tires and preview electronic control suspension for dynamic driving performance. Its exclusive interior and exterior design applies black accents throughout the vehicle, combining restrained sophistication with a bold presence.
Hyundai Motor has also prepared the XRT trim, which features a rugged design aimed at outdoor enthusiasts.
The XRT trim comes standard with exclusive 20-inch alloy wheels, second-row ventilated seats and a Bose premium speaker system. It also adopts a range of XRT-exclusive parts with rugged outdoor design elements — a radiator grille and garnish, cladding, a roof rack, emblems, DLO molding and outside mirrors — giving the vehicle a more muscular appearance.
In addition, Hyundai Motor has made the following features standard from the base trim of the 2027 Palisade: a 12.3-inch large-screen cluster, a panoramic curved display, forward collision-avoidance assist, navigation-based smart cruise control (for on- and off-ramps), highway driving assist 2, blind-spot collision-avoidance assist (while driving) and advanced rear occupant alert.
Prices for the 2027 Palisade gasoline nine-seat variant (based on a 5.0 percent individual consumption tax rate) are: Exclusive at 44.78 million won ($32,400), H-Pick at 50.4 million won, XRT at 52.11 million won, Calligraphy at 56.06 million won, Black Ink at 57.67 million won and high-roof at 72.44 million won. For the seven-seat gasoline variant, prices are: Exclusive at 46.1 million won, H-Pick at 52.03 million won, XRT at 53.82 million won, Calligraphy at 58.07 million won, Black Ink at 59.77 million won and high-roof at 75.3 million won.
For the 2027 Palisade hybrid, nine-seat prices are: Exclusive at 50.77 million won, H-Pick at 56.4 million won, Calligraphy at 62.06 million won, Black Ink at 63.67 million won and high-roof at 78.44 million won. Seven-seat hybrid prices are: Exclusive at 51.4 million won, H-Pick at 58.32 million won, Calligraphy at 64.36 million won, Black Ink at 66.06 million won and high-roof at 81.59 million won.
Meanwhile, the Palisade sold 22,212 units in the domestic market from January through July this year, making it the second best-selling recreational vehicle in Hyundai Motor's lineup, trailing only the midsize SUV Santa Fe, which moved 24,333 units over the same period.
