Hanwha Galleria unveils world's only Piaget 'Aura' high jewelry watch in Korea

Hanwha Galleria said Tuesday it is presenting the Piaget "Aura" high jewelry watch for the first time in South Korea at its Seoul luxury hall.

The piece is the only one of its kind in the world, priced in the 3.1 billion won ($2.24 million) range. It features 302 gemstones in total — 52 rubies and 250 diamonds — weighing approximately 60.52 carats. The watch is powered by an ultra-thin 430P manual movement measuring just 2.1 millimeters thick.

The rubies on the dial are set using a pavé technique, in which gemstones are packed tightly across the surface with no gaps, accentuating a vivid red hue. Emerald-cut diamonds — shaped by grinding the stone into a rectangular form — are arranged on the case and strap.

Also on display and available for purchase in South Korea for the first time is Piaget's "Exceptional Cuff Watch," another one-of-a-kind piece. Crafted in 18-karat white gold, it is set with 474 diamonds totaling 45.48 carats in a cuff-style design with diamonds set in an unbroken chain. The watch runs on a 355P quartz movement and is priced in the 1.3 billion won range.

Meanwhile, Hanwha Galleria is running an autumn-themed jewelry and watch exhibition, "Golden Prelude," at its luxury hall through Sunday. Twenty brands — including Graff, Fred and Breguet — are taking part, bringing together pieces worth a combined 8 billion won.

"We plan to continue presenting rare watches and jewelry to strengthen Galleria's differentiated luxury content," a Hanwha Galleria official said.
