Samsung Electronics unveils new gaming monitors, portable SSD at world's largest gaming expo

Samsung Electronics will unveil its 2027 Odyssey gaming monitor lineup and new portable SSD products at Gamescom 2026, the world's largest gaming exhibition, which opens Wednesday (local time) at Koelnmesse in Cologne, Germany.

Samsung has set up a 1,090-square-meter exhibition space at the show, where it will present a gaming monitor lineup headlined by the world's first 6K gaming monitor, the Odyssey G8, alongside the Odyssey OLED G8 — a 4K OLED display with a refresh rate of up to 240Hz — and the Odyssey 3D, a glasses-free 3D monitor.

Visitors will be able to play popular titles directly on the Odyssey gaming monitors, including "Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare 4" and Pearl Abyss's "Crimson Desert."

The high-performance 9100 Pro SSD and the JBL Quantum 950 headset will also be on display, offering visitors an immersive experience through the synergy of Samsung's gaming devices.

The company will also give attendees a chance to play well-known titles such as "Genshin Impact," "Asphalt Legends" and "Honor of Kings" on the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra and Galaxy S26 Ultra, both powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy.

Samsung has designed its entire exhibition booth around the concept of a Korean PC bang, giving global visitors with an interest in K-culture a chance to experience Korean PC cafe culture firsthand.

On Thursday and Friday, Samsung will host the Play Galaxy Cup World Finals on a stage inside its booth, using the mobile game PUBG. Ten teams that advanced through global qualifying rounds will compete for the championship title.

Choi Seung-eun, head of Samsung Electronics' Global Marketing Center, said the company has built a full-stack gaming ecosystem spanning mobile devices, monitors, TVs, SSDs and headsets. "Through Samsung's gaming ecosystem, we will continue to deliver high-quality devices and services so that users can enjoy a personalized gaming experience anytime, anywhere," Choi said.
