Dobong-gu in Seoul will host the "2026 Dobong-gu Youth Job Mentoring Concert" on Sept. 17 at 6 p.m. at Seoninbong Hall on the second floor of the Dobong-gu Office, bringing together current and former employees from major domestic and global companies with job-seeking youth.
The event is held in conjunction with the "3rd Dobong-gu Youth Career Policy Fair," taking place the same day, and is designed to give participants direct access to the latest hiring trends and role-specific practical information from industry insiders to sharpen their job readiness.
The program is divided into three parts. The first opens with a "District Mayor & Youth Talk," in which Dobong-gu District Mayor Kim Dong-wook joins young residents to exchange thoughts on job-hunting concerns and policy suggestions.
The second segment features a career lecture by the head of Korea's largest recruitment platform — a former Samsung human resources executive — speaking on the theme of "How to Land a Job on Your Own Strengths in the Age of AI."
In the third and final segment, "Small-Group Mentoring with Industry Insiders," participants visit mentors in their fields of interest for three rounds of 30 minutes each, freely asking questions about cover letters, interviews and day-to-day job duties while building their professional networks.
Mentors represent a total of 19 major domestic and global companies across five fields: IT and engineering — Samsung, Kia, KT Corp and LG Group; marketing and content — Hybe, Amore and Aekyung; sales and service — J&J and Qatar Airways; HR, planning and analytics — Microsoft and SK Innovation; and finance, investment, supply chain management and procurement — Blue Point Partners, Hyundai and SK Group.
The event is open to 200 job-seeking youth in Dobong-gu, and attendance is free. Applications can be submitted through the notices section of the Dobong-gu website, the district's official SNS channels, or by scanning the QR code on promotional materials posted on the "Dobong Youth TalkTalk" channel.
"Job information is everywhere, but opportunities to hear advice tailored to your specific field are rare," District Mayor Kim said. "I hope this gathering — bringing together current employees from the very companies and roles young people aspire to — gives them real, practical help in their job search." He added that the district would continue rolling out policies to give youth a solid foundation in their employment journey.
