Pulmuone Foods, Amorepacific sign MOU with climate body for 'Green Gain' campaign

Pulmuone Foods and Amorepacific Holdings have joined forces with the Presidential Committee on Climate Crisis Response.

Pulmuone Foods announced Wednesday that it signed a three-way MOU with the Presidential Committee on Climate Crisis Response and Amorepacific Holdings at its headquarters in Suseo, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, to expand the Green Gain public participation campaign.

The Green Gain campaign, the central focus of the agreement, is a nationwide carbon neutrality initiative led by the Presidential 2050 Carbon Neutrality and Green Growth Committee. The campaign promotes the idea that practicing carbon neutrality benefits both the environment and household finances. The parties signed the MOU to broaden the campaign's reach and establish a framework for mutual cooperation.

Pulmuone Foods CEO Cheon Young-hoon, committee co-chair Lee Chang-hoon and Amorepacific Holdings Executive Director Kwon Soon-cheol attended the signing ceremony. Under the agreement, the three parties will pursue ESG management, network building and carbon neutrality initiatives. Pulmuone Foods and Amorepacific Holdings also plan to actively participate in the committee's Net Zero Friends project.

"We will work closely with the committee to contribute to carbon neutrality efforts at the corporate level, building on this MOU," Cheon said.
