Gangseo-gu District Mayor Jin Kyo-hoon attended a regular sanitation education session for beauty salon owners at the district office on Wednesday, engaging with workers in the beauty industry.
Jin opened his remarks by thanking the organizers. "I am deeply grateful to Seong Yi-jin, chair of the Gangseo-gu chapter of the Korean Hairdressers Association, and to all the beauty industry workers who prepared this education session," he said. He then lightened the mood by adding, "I actually got my hair dyed a couple of days ago just to come see you all."
Jin also said the district's own public hygiene service assessments showed strong results. "More than 78 percent of businesses have received an excellent rating, which shows how well hygiene management is being carried out at beauty salons," he said. "Thank you for your efforts in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene at your establishments."
The session was organized by the Gangseo-gu chapter of the Korean Hairdressers Association, with about 350 local beauty salon owners in attendance. The event included a commendation ceremony for outstanding businesses and a briefing on business owner obligations under the Public Health Control Act.
The session also featured training on the latest trends and techniques aimed at raising the professional standards and service quality of beauty industry workers.
