The Hanwha Life Invitational Asia Women's Junior Golf Championship will be held over three days beginning Oct. 6 at The Heaven Country Club on Daebudo Island in Ansan, Gyeonggi Province.
Organized by the Seoul Metropolitan Golf Association and backed by the Korea Golf Association, the tournament will bring together 108 promising young golfers from South Korea and five Southeast Asian countries. The competition will be played over three rounds of 54-hole stroke play.
Domestic eligibility is open to female amateur players between the ages of 13 and 18, selected in order of their Korea Golf Association rankings. Registration runs from Wednesday through Sept. 4, with full details available on the Seoul Metropolitan Golf Association's website.
The tournament was conceived to give top junior golfers from South Korea and Southeast Asia a shared stage to compete and build a foundation for careers on the international circuit. It aims to provide competitive experience to promising players from major Southeast Asian nations, contributing to the development of a global next generation through sport and the broader growth of golf across Asia.
The field comprises 88 elite domestic junior players and 20 amateur prospects representing five major Southeast Asian countries — Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore.
With top-ranked prospects from across the region set to compete, organizers expect the event to showcase a high level of junior golf among Asia's best young players.
Hanwha Life plans to provide precision course setups on par with those of professional tour events, along with top-tier player care and support programs to help competitors perform at their best.
The tournament will award World Amateur Golf Ranking points, supporting participants' development on the international stage. Top finishers will also receive sponsorship valued at 10 million won and a pro-am invitation to the 2027 Hanwha LIFEPLUS International Crown.
The Hanwha LIFEPLUS International Crown is scheduled to be held in the second half of 2027 at Lake Merced Golf Club in San Francisco, California. The pro-am invitation offers top finishers a rare opportunity to experience the world's only women's golf team competition firsthand, playing alongside elite national representatives from around the globe.
The Heaven Country Club is surrounded by sea on three sides, offering views of the Yellow Sea from most holes. The coastal setting makes wind a key variable, demanding precise and strategic play throughout the round.
