Kia unveils Black Edition trims for Sportage, Sorento and Carnival

Kia said Thursday it has launched Black Edition trims for the Sportage, Sorento and Carnival, along with updated model-year versions of all three vehicles.

The Black Edition is a special trim based on the top-of-the-line Signature grade of Kia's three flagship recreational vehicles — the Sportage, Sorento and Carnival — featuring exclusive design elements and digital content.

Kia developed the Black Edition to reflect customer demand for a bold, premium aesthetic built on the proven product quality of the Sportage, Sorento and Carnival.

The exterior design incorporates dark metal and glossy black materials, along with newly designed exclusive wheels, giving each model a differentiated presence compared to the standard lineup.

Kia also launched The 2027 Sportage, The 2027 Sorento and The 2027 Carnival on Thursday — model-year updates that expand customer-preferred features and improve overall product composition across all three nameplates.

The 2027 Sportage comes standard on all trims with a 12.3-inch navigation display, highway driving assist and navigation-based smart cruise control, enhancing driving convenience across the range.

In addition, the Noblesse trim gains standard rear cross-traffic collision avoidance assist, electronic child lock, front passenger power seat with lumbar support and walk-in device, safe exit assist, and blind-spot collision avoidance assist (forward exit), further strengthening safety and convenience.

For The 2027 Sorento, Kia added a 100W USB-C port to the first-row console and seatback side panels to improve in-vehicle usability and customer convenience. The Sorento Hybrid's Signature and X-Line trims also receive 19-inch wheels as standard, boosting the model's overall product appeal.

The 2027 Carnival gains LED rear combination lamps as standard across all trims, reinforcing its premium image, while newly added 100W USB-C ports in the first, second and third rows enhance passenger convenience throughout the cabin.

Prices for The 2027 Sportage by trim are: 29.44 million ($26,200) to 36.22 million won for the 1.6 gasoline turbo, 30.09 million to 36.87 million won for the 2.0 LPi, and 34.36 million to 41.03 million won for the 1.6 gasoline turbo hybrid after eco-vehicle tax benefits (all prices based on the 5 percent individual consumption tax rate). Black Edition prices are 35.87 million won for the 1.6 gasoline turbo and 40.68 million won for the 1.6 gasoline turbo hybrid after eco-vehicle tax benefits.

Prices for The 2027 Sorento by trim are: 36.41 million to 43.41 million won for the 2.5 gasoline turbo, and 39.63 million to 46.7 million won for the 1.6 gasoline turbo hybrid 2WD after eco-vehicle tax benefits. Black Edition prices are 44.41 million won for the 2.5 gasoline turbo and 48.95 million won for the 1.6 gasoline turbo hybrid 2WD.

For The 2027 Carnival, nine-passenger trim prices are: 36.86 million to 45.32 million won for the 3.5 gasoline and 41.41 million to 49.87 million won for the 1.6 turbo hybrid, with Black Edition prices at 45.92 million won for the 3.5 gasoline and 50.47 million won for the 1.6 turbo hybrid. Seven-passenger trim prices are: 43.82 million to 47.91 million won for the 3.5 gasoline and 48.32 million to 52.41 million won for the 1.6 turbo hybrid, with Black Edition prices at 48.51 million won for the 3.5 gasoline and 53.01 million won for the 1.6 turbo hybrid.
