ASML Korea to hire hundreds of new and experienced engineers in second half

ASML Korea, the South Korean unit of the world's largest semiconductor lithography equipment maker, is launching a triple-digit hiring drive for both new graduates and experienced professionals in the second half of 2026.

The company announced Thursday that it will accept applications for its open new-graduate recruitment from Tuesday through Sept. 8. Positions will be based at sites near Samsung Electronics and SK hynix production facilities in Hwaseong, Pyeongtaek and Icheon in Gyeonggi Province, as well as Cheongju in North Chungcheong Province.

Roles open to candidates with a bachelor's degree in science or engineering include customer support (CS) engineer positions, while technical support (TS) engineer and field application (FA) engineer roles require a master's degree or higher.

The CS engineer track is divided into field service (FS) engineers, who handle equipment support, and upgrade, install and relocation (UIR) engineers, who oversee equipment installation and upgrades.

ASML Korea said it will use a range of interview formats — including presentation-style and role-playing interviews — to assess candidates' suitability for each role.

Alongside the new-graduate drive, the company is also expanding experienced hiring for engineers with technical expertise and hands-on field experience. Recruitment will focus on UIR engineers, who manage equipment installation, relocation and upgrades at customer sites, as well as FSE, TSE and FAE positions.

The hiring push is aimed at meeting growing demand for customer support driven by the continued expansion of advanced semiconductor production in South Korea.

South Korea accounted for 43 percent of ASML's second-quarter equipment sales, making it the company's largest market. ASML Korea handles equipment installation, maintenance, upgrades and technical support at domestic semiconductor manufacturing sites.

The company is also broadening its recruitment beyond the semiconductor industry to attract experienced professionals from advanced technology and engineering fields, as part of a wider push to build and develop a specialized technical workforce.
