US stocks rose Thursday (local time) as Nvidia's strong earnings drove a rally in technology shares.
The Nasdaq Composite closed up 411.16 points, or 1.57 percent, at 26,541.35.
Nvidia led the technology rally, surging 8.74 percent.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 105.56 points, or 0.20 percent, to close at 53,569.44, while the S&P 500 rose 55.29 points, or 0.72 percent, to finish at 7,730.99.
