Musinsa Standard said Wednesday that its transaction volume in Japan grew sevenfold in the first half of this year compared to the same period last year.
More than 40 percent of first-time buyers on the Musinsa Global Store in Japan last month purchased Musinsa Standard products. During the same period, 61 percent of Musinsa Standard customers also bought products from other brands listed on the Global Store.
At the "Musinsa Station in Harajuku" pop-up event, held Aug. 21 to Aug. 30, the brand showcased styling for its signature products under the fall/winter campaign "Seoul Standard." Blazers and slacks were among the top-selling items during the pop-up.
Musinsa also launched a speed delivery service in Japan, stocking select Musinsa Standard products — including popular items — at a local warehouse so customers can receive orders within two to three days. In the three weeks following the service's launch, from Aug. 3 to Aug. 24, Musinsa Standard's transaction volume in Japan more than tripled compared to the same period last year.
"We will continue to deepen our understanding of local customers and the market to strengthen our brand competitiveness, while reinforcing our role as a leading brand that expands the customer base for K-fashion," a Musinsa official said.
