Geely E2 earns 5-star ratings from Euro NCAP and ANCAP

Geely Auto Group announced Friday that its compact electric vehicle, the Geely E2, has earned a five-star rating — the highest possible — in the 2026 Euro NCAP and ANCAP safety assessments.

Euro NCAP, the European New Car Assessment Programme, and ANCAP, its Australia and New Zealand counterpart, this year completed their first comprehensive overhaul of vehicle testing and rating systems in several years. The updated protocols place greater emphasis on real-world driving scenarios and set significantly stricter requirements, raising the bar for vehicle safety performance.

With this result, the Geely E2 became the first A/B-segment model in the world — and the first Geely Auto vehicle — to receive top ratings from both of the world's most rigorous new-car safety assessment programs.

Built on Geely Auto's advanced GEA (Global Intelligent New Energy Architecture), the E2 combines refined design, cutting-edge technology and strong driving performance, positioning it as a new benchmark for urban electric mobility. Measuring 4,135 millimeters in length, 1,805 millimeters in width and 1,580 millimeters in height, with a 2,650-millimeter wheelbase, the E2 strikes a balance between agile handling and class-leading interior space.

The E2 is equipped with class-leading safety technology, a claim it backed up across all four evaluation categories in the 2026 Euro NCAP and ANCAP assessments. It particularly stood out in the safe driving and post-crash safety categories.

The E2's safe driving performance is built around an integrated package of passenger monitoring, driver monitoring and intelligent driving assistance systems, all designed to prevent accidents and protect occupants. Its adaptive cruise control system performed strongly across a range of driving conditions, including demanding cut-in and cut-out scenarios requiring rapid responses to sudden changes in traffic.
