Tours along the DMZ Peace Trail theme route have resumed after a temporary suspension during the peak summer heat. Operations were halted in July and August for visitor safety and restarted in September.
Inje-gun has introduced a 23-seat electric bus alongside the tour resumption, improving transport convenience for visitors and adding eco-friendly infrastructure that reflects the DMZ's ecological and environmental value.
The electric bus operates on weekends only, running a 46-kilometer round trip from the visitor center to the Daegok-ri checkpoint and Hill 1052 before returning to the visitor center.
The Inje-gun DMZ Peace Trail is a peace and ecology tour route that allows visitors to explore the natural environment and traces of the division in a border area long off-limits to civilians. Inje-gun maintains close coordination with military units to ensure visitor safety and smooth route operations.
Tours run Wednesday through Sunday, with two sessions daily at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. The route is closed Mondays and Tuesdays. Each session accepts up to 20 visitors on a first-come, first-served basis.
