Nexen Tire to supply three tire models for new Avante, tailored by region

Nexen Tire will supply original-equipment tires for the eighth-generation Hyundai Motor Avante, with different models fitted to the same vehicle depending on the weather and road conditions of each sales market.

Nexen Tire announced Monday it will supply three products — the N'Priz S, N'Blue S and N'Fera Primus — for the Hyundai Motor "The All New Avante." Starting with vehicles sold in South Korea, the company will expand supply sequentially to North America, Europe and the Middle East and Africa.

South Korea and North America will receive the all-season N'Priz S in 16- and 18-inch sizes. Both markets experience relatively large seasonal swings in temperature and road conditions, so the tire is designed to perform across a range of surfaces including snow and wet roads.

The N'Priz S features "3D kerf" technology, which cuts fine grooves into the tire surface to improve grip on snow and enhance braking and steering performance in winter. Variable-pitch tread blocks distribute driving noise across multiple frequency bands to reduce cabin sound. A dedicated rubber compound addresses fuel efficiency and wear resistance.

Europe will receive the N'Blue S in 16-inch size, reflecting the region's strong preference for summer tires. The tread grooves and narrow sipes that channel water away from the contact patch have been tuned to maintain braking force and steering stability on wet roads after rain.

The Middle East market will receive both the N'Blue S in 16-inch and the N'Fera Primus in 18-inch, accounting for the region's frequent long-distance driving in high-temperature conditions. The N'Blue S focuses on reducing rolling resistance to improve fuel efficiency, while the N'Fera Primus is reinforced for wear resistance to handle extended mileage.

The supply deal extends Nexen Tire's push to broaden its original-equipment customer base from premium brands to mass-market models. The company already supplies original-equipment tires to European automakers including Porsche, Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Audi.

"This supply deal for the new Avante allows us to reach drivers across a wider range of markets at home and abroad," a Nexen Tire official said. "We will continue to expand our partnerships with global automakers by supplying products tailored to the characteristics of each market."
