Fund raised by 7 billion won from previous 28 billion won
Samlip announced Monday that it is expanding its mutual-growth fund for partner companies by 7 billion won ($5.15 million) to 35 billion won, in partnership with Shinhan Bank.
The fund has grown steadily under a cooperative agreement between the two companies. Samlip launched it at 20 billion won in 2016, raised it to 28 billion won in 2024, and has now increased it further to 35 billion won in 2026.
Under the agreement, Samlip will use interest income from fixed deposits held at Shinhan Bank to operate a preferential loan product for its suppliers. Partner companies will receive an interest rate approximately 1.4 percentage points below the standard market lending rate.
"We will continue to do our best to support partner companies facing difficulties and fulfill our social responsibilities as a company leading the domestic and international bakery market," a Samlip official said.
