Promotion runs 8 weeks through Oct. 31

Korean Air announced Monday it will run a "Hidden Mileage Search" promotion to encourage SkyPass members to update their account information.
The promotion is designed to help customers who hold multiple SkyPass membership numbers or have not updated their contact details in a long time. Updating member information ensures customers do not miss important notices such as flight reservation details and mileage expiration alerts.
Members can enter the prize draw by visiting the "Hidden Mileage Search" menu on the Korean Air website or mobile app and completing either a membership number consolidation request or a contact information update. The promotion runs for eight weeks from Monday through Oct. 31.
The membership number consolidation feature allows SkyPass members who hold two or more membership numbers to merge them into one. Once consolidated, mileage accumulated under unused membership numbers is combined into a single account, recovering any mileage that had been out of reach.
The contact update feature lets members replace outdated mobile phone numbers or incorrect email addresses with current information. All SkyPass members are eligible to update their contact details through this menu.
Korean Air will hold a prize draw among all participants. The first-place winner receives two round-trip Prestige Class tickets to Guam. Additional prizes include three sets of two round-trip economy class tickets to Guam, 100 chicken set meals and 200 burger set meals.
Winners will be announced on the Korean Air website on Nov. 10. Participating in both the membership number consolidation and the contact update increases a member's chances of winning.
Meanwhile, Korean Air is overhauling its mileage system ahead of the launch of the integrated Korean Air in December. The airline is reviewing a plan to convert flight mileage from Korean Air and Asiana Airlines at a one-to-one ratio, while partner mileage — such as that earned through credit card affiliates — would be converted at a ratio of approximately 0.82 to one.
