Daewoo ST donates 4,000 kg of rice to Gyeonggi Province disability association

The Gyeonggi Province Association of Persons with Physical Disabilities announced Monday that it had received a donation of 4,000 kilograms of rice from Daewoo ST.

According to the association, Daewoo ST donated 200 bags of rice — 20 kilograms each — at a summer retreat held Thursday to promote unity and communication among executives and staff from the association's 31 city and county chapters across Gyeonggi Province. The retreat was held at The Ann Resort in Yangyang, with about 180 executives and staff from the 31 chapters in attendance.

The association was founded in 1989 to improve public awareness of people with disabilities and expand their participation in society. It regularly brings together executives and staff working to advance the rights and welfare of people with disabilities to recognize their efforts.
