The budget and accounts committee has until Wednesday to complete its audit of the fiscal year 2025 final accounts; committee Chair Kim An-suk pledges to conduct a "transparent and efficient" review.
The Seocho-gu Council said Monday that its special budget and accounts committee has launched full-scale deliberations on the fiscal year 2025 final accounts.
Earlier, at the first plenary session of the 352nd council meeting on Aug. 31, the council voted to appoint members to the special budget and accounts committee and elected Kim An-suk as its chair.
The committee will scrutinize the appropriateness and legality of fiscal expenditures based on the review results of the relevant standing committees, with its work set to conclude Wednesday.
"Through this final accounts review, we plan to thoroughly examine how transparently and efficiently last year's budget was spent," Kim said. "We will ensure the results serve as a solid foundation for future budget planning."
