Yamaha Motorcycle offers free emergency inspections for flood-hit riders in Geoje

Korea Motor Trading, the official importer of Yamaha motorcycles in South Korea, said Monday it had carried out free emergency inspection services for flood-damaged vehicles in Geoje following recent heavy rainfall.

The company ran the service at its Geoje branch from Aug. 24 to Aug. 26 to help affected riders return to their daily routines and stabilize their livelihoods as quickly as possible.

The torrential rains left numerous Yamaha motorcycles in the Geoje area submerged, while others sustained damage to their drivetrains and electrical systems from being ridden through severe weather. Delivery scooters were particularly in urgent need of attention, as riders continued operating them in poor conditions to earn a living.

Vehicles brought in underwent thorough diagnostics by certified technicians, with the company focusing on fast turnaround to minimize inconvenience for riders.

"We hope this inspection service was at least a small help in getting Yamaha riders back on their feet after the heavy rains," a company official said. "Yamaha will always be by your side and support safe riding."
