2026 U+ Tech Plus marks fourth year, features 23 sessions on tech innovation cases
LG Uplus has held an event to share its in-house technology cases and connect with future talent.
The company said Wednesday that it held the "2026 U+ Tech Plus" event at its Magok office in Gangseo-gu, Seoul, on Monday. The event shared internal technology cases spanning AI, software, networks, security and quality.
Now in its fourth year, U+ Tech Plus brings together LG Uplus technology experts and outside talent to share research and development experience and real-world projects. About 500 people attended this year's event, including LG Uplus employees, graduate students pursuing master's and doctoral degrees, and professors.
The event featured 23 sessions on a range of topics, with LG Uplus experts introducing technology talent to the company's research and development status and cases of technological innovation.
LG Uplus invited graduate students specializing in key technology fields to the event, which also included a panel talk on organizational culture and networking programs.
Attendees asked LG Uplus employees about their job responsibilities, the skills needed for their roles and career development paths.
"I was able to see the technical challenges and problem-solving processes that professionals actually deal with in their work," said one graduate student who attended the event. Another attendee said, "It gave me a chance to understand the company's research and development environment and technical roles."
LG Uplus plans to expand its exchanges with research talent in key technology fields and continue its cooperation with university research labs.
Meanwhile, LG Uplus has been steadily expanding opportunities for technology collaboration with universities. This includes a recent joint effort with Yonsei University to verify next-generation wireless network technology that uses AI to analyze network conditions in real time. The company plans to hire new employees this month in fields including networks and AI data centers.
