Hankook Tire backs WRC Chile Rally

Hankook Tire & Technology said Wednesday that the 12th round of the 2026 World Rally Championship, the Chile Rally, will take place around Concepcion, Chile. The event runs from Thursday to Sunday (local time). Hankook Tire & Technology is the exclusive supplier of racing tires for the event, which is organized by the International Automobile Federation and ranks among the world's top motorsport competitions.

The Chile Rally has been held every year since 2023, after joining the official WRC calendar in 2019, making this year's event the fifth edition. Based in Concepcion, Chile's second-largest city on the Pacific coast, the rally spans 311.18 kilometers across 16 special stages. The stages wind through the dense forests and rugged unpaved hills of the Biobio region.

The course is marked by a series of high-speed corners on gravel surfaces hardened by volcanic ash particles and small pebbles. The rough terrain and repeated high-speed driving place heavy strain on tire treads and sidewalls, making durability and wear resistance central to performance in the race.

Hankook Tire is supporting stable race operations at this rally with its Dynapro R213, an extreme all-weather rally tire.

The Dynapro R213 comes in hard and soft compounds tailored to road conditions and climate, allowing teams to manage their tire strategy according to the race.

Sami Pajari of the Toyota Gazoo Racing World Rally Team claimed his third straight win at the recent Rally Paraguay, putting him on 196 points. He trails his teammate Elfyn Evans, the leader in the drivers' championship with 216 points, by 20 points.

Meanwhile, Hankook Tire continues to broaden its customer engagement through various marketing initiatives.
