Yeongdeungpo-gu district mayor Cho Yu-jin attends bicycle donation ceremony for community children's centers

Yeongdeungpo-gu District Mayor Cho Yu-jin attended a bicycle donation ceremony for community children's centers held at the district mayor's office on Wednesday.

Joining Cho at the ceremony were Yoo Hyun-sook, chairperson of the Nanum Culture and Arts Association; Shin Seung-hee, chairman of the Mindeulle School Community Children's Center Federation; and Seo Ji-yeon, vice chairperson of the district-run Pureureum Community Children's Center.

The Nanum Culture and Arts Association sponsored the ceremony. The donated items — 22 large bicycles worth 15 million won ($11,200) — will be handed out to elementary, middle and high school students who use community children's centers.

"I deeply appreciate the Nanum Culture and Arts Association for cheering on our students' energetic steps forward with such a meaningful gift," Cho said. "We will spare no effort in supporting children in need of care so they can shape their futures in a safe and happy environment."
